Martinborough TOP 10 Holiday Park
People have been camping here since the 1930s, long before Martinborough became a Pinot Noir hotspot. It was in 2004 that we saw the potential to upgrade the council motor camp to a holiday park that would cater for the growing numbers of visitors to Martinborough and the Wairarapa region. We leased the land in July 2005 and set about implementing our vision of a small, friendly holiday park with quality facilities. The location is perfect with an easy walk to Martinborough Square and a number of wineries.
Martinborough Village Camping opened for business in November 2005 and in July 2008 the holiday park was awarded a Qualmark 4 star rating. We were awarded a Qualmark 4 star plus rating in October 2010. In September 2009 we achieved a Qualmark enviro-silver accreditation recognising our commitment to Responsible Tourism. To reflect our growing range of accommodation we became Martinborough Top 10 Holiday Park in 2011.
Martinborough Top 10 Holiday Park now has 2 self contained studio units, six standard cabins, and 36 tent and campervan sites. We have lived on site since May 2008 with Woody, our SPCA Fox Terrier cross. To Woody’s lasting disgust, Claudia the Cat adopted us in November 2008.
We are committed to the ongoing improvement of our holiday park and are keen to hear your ideas, follow us on Facebook and let us know what you think, you can also share your experiences and photos from your stays with us.

Our Commitment to Responsible Tourism
We believe we have a responsibility to minimise our environmental impact and to support our community. We have reviewed our business practices and are undertaking a number of actions including:
- Reducing our waste by recycling and encouraging our guests to do the same.
- Reducing our water usage by installing devices in shower heads to reduce water volume, without compromising on quality.
- Reducing our energy usage by using motion sensors and energy efficient light bulbs.
- Donating old bedding and towels to our local SPCA
- Supporting Pukaha Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre by sponsoring 4 hectares, funding pest eradication programmes.
